  • Loyd Grossman is keynote speaker for The Old House Show

    Broadcaster and heritage champion Loyd Grossman is to be the keynote speaker at our first ever grand exhibition, The Old House Show, presented in partnership with Period Living in September.

  • Spitalfields Gardens open for National Gardens Scheme

    Eight Spitalfields gardens, including the SPAB's courtyard, will be open to the public for the National Gardens Scheme (NGS).

    The SPAB Essex and Suffolk Regional Group was formed in 2000 and has been active ever since. The types of visits are fun, interesting and educational with an annual social event, normally in an historic building.

  • Concert for Gloria e Marco

    To celebrate the life of two young and talented graduate architects from Italy, Gloria Trevisan and Marco Gottardi, who died in the Grenfell Tower fire on 14 June 2017, a concert will be held to raise money for the Gloria e Marco Award.

    We live in an early Victorian house which had been plagued with damp problems. As SPAB members we were aware of the technical helpline and contacted the Society. Just one phone call has recouped the cost of our membership many times over.
