A 3D Digital Survey of our historic post mill creates a 'digital twin' which contains 1.74 billion colour 3D points - an important resource at every stage of our repair project

The sails are back on our 18th-century windmill at Kibworth Harcourt, Leicestershire. This is a huge milestone in the project to bring this fragile and beautiful mill back into good repair.

Thanks to a generous bequest we can repair this important mill and provide training in millwrighting, an endangered craft.

An update on the works which began this summer to repair our historic windmill in Leicestershire, returning it to working order for the first time since the 1930s.

8-9 May is National Mills Weekend. Tag us in on social media to celebrate traditional wind and watermills. Repairs to our own windmill in Leicestershire will begin this summer.

The SPAB has embarked on a second building repair project to revive the only surviving windmill in Leicestershire that retains its historic machinery.
