We are currently recruiting for a Membership Officer (paid) and a Chair of Trustees (voluntary).


Membership Officer

Location: 37 Spital Square, London E1​ (with some homeworking by agreement)​

Hours: 0.5 FTE (Ideally, 5 half days per week)​

Term: Permanent ​

Salary: £30,000 pro-rata​

Closing date: Friday 26 June, 9am​

Interviews: Wednesday 8 July, London

The SPAB is a membership organisation with more than 5,000 members across the UK, Ireland and beyond. Our members are at the heart of our work, helping to support and champion our approach to building conservation.

As Membership Officer, you'll play a key role in delivering an excellent experience for current and prospective members. You'll manage membership enquiries, process new memberships, maintain our membership database, and analyse membership data to help shape and improve our membership strategy.

This is an exciting opportunity to support a passionate community while contributing to the future growth of the SPAB.

Chair of Trustees

Position: Voluntary

Term of office: Up to six years

Closing date: Friday 21 August, 5pm​

Interviews: early September

We’re looking for an experienced strategic thinker and inspiring leader to be our new Chair of Trustees in our 150th anniversary year and beyond.

As Chair, you'll guide us at Board level, champion the SPAB Approach, attend meetings, support our activities and be an ambassador for the country’s oldest heritage organisation.
