SPAB Receives Culture Recovery Fund Award
We are absolutely delighted that the SPAB is one of the 476 heritage organisations who will share £44M from the the Culture Recovery Fund.
Building of the month: Drake’s Almshouses, Amersham
We strongly object to plans to substantially alter to the Grade II* listed Drakes Almshouses in Buckinghamshire. We are especially concerned about misguided proposals to address a damp problem, which we think are likely to cause further harm to these special 17th-century buildings.
Building of the month: 333 Stroud Road, Tuffley
This 'at risk' early-17th century farmhouse in a suburb of Gloucester has been empty for some time. Our Buildings at Risk Officer, Laura Polglase investigates.
New SPAB Chair for a New Year
We are delighted to announce our new SPAB Chair, Nichola Tasker. Nichola brings a wealth of organisational knowledge to the role with her experience as a Trustee and Guardian. Nichola is a conservation architect and SPAB Scholar (1998).

The first John Betjeman Award in Ireland recognises sensitive external stonework conservation.
SPAB Fellow Tom Flemons wins Gwyn Watkins Award
Stonemason Tom Flemons received the award for his outstanding personal contribution both to traditional building skills and support of the SPAB Fellowship.
