SPAB Ireland is delighted to announce a two day Masterclass: An introduction to Stucco Duro and Scagliola, with Certified Master Plasterers of the city of London: Dolcie Ross Keogh and Kevin Holbrook.

Dolcie’s journey in plasterwork began at the age of 15 when she became an apprentice under Master Plasterer Kevin Holbrook. During her apprenticeship, she trained extensively in plain and decorative plasterwork, scagliola, and gilding. In the years that followed, she honed her craft while working with Living with the Past, applying her skills to a diverse range of heritage and contemporary buildings across Ireland and Europe. She became the first female to be honoured by the Worshipful Company of Plaisterers, a prestigious award that marked her 20-year contribution to the intricate craft of plastering.

Who is this course for?

This course is aimed at professionals who wish to expand their knowledge practically and academically on the craft of stucco duro (freehand plasterwork) and scagliola in both restoration, conservation and new works. This can be from designers and architects to practical craftspeople.

Lunch will be provided on both days.
