Event details

On the first Thursday of every month we will be choosing a historic drinking establishment for an informal meet up of SPAB members and associated friends. The aim of the event is to bring together SPAB Scotland members and non members to discuss all things conservation over a pint, with the historic settings also sparking some discussion.  We hope in future to expand to other Scottish cities, so please let us know of interesting bars near you!

On Thursday 2nd August we will be meeting at The Kenilworth, 142-6 Rose Street, Edinburgh EH2 3JD from 6pm onwards. We won't be reserving an area but will hopefully be able to commandeer an area, and look out for a SPAB membership leaflet on the table if you aren't familiar with any other SPAB members.

Category B listed, the Kenilworth is on of Edinburghs four single room with island bar pubs, the walls are covered with blue and white minton tiles with a patterned ceiling. Built c.1780 and interior from 1899 (Thomas Purves Marwick designed) and restored 1966.

Booking is not required, but please email us if you would like further information or to let us know you will be there!
