The 2020 Icon Annual Lecture is being delivered on the topic of the Houses of Parliament Restoration and Renewal Programme and the work being undertaken to balance the needs of a 21st century parliament building alongside the care and preservation of a globally significant estate and collection.

Organised by the Tiles & Architectural Ceramics Society, this conference (rescheduled from March) aims to provide a historical context for the use of terracotta and faïence in architectural structures and the latest information on the restoration and refurbishment of buildings bearing these materials.

The theme of the Hidden Charms 3 conference in Chester is magical house protection and related areas. There will be nine 20 minute lectures, each with 10 minutes for questions afterwards and four poster presentations looking at protection marks.
Our Conservation Skills courses based at the Home Farm is a hub for education and knowledge-sharing. We are launching our first programme of conservation skills courses for 2020 in association with the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings (SPAB).
