Lectures

Held every spring and autumn, the SPAB's popular lecture series offers three or four informal talks linked to an engaging historic building or conservation theme.  For the time being the lecture series - and most of the SPAB's other occasional lectures - are being held online.  Discounts are available for SPAB members.

Recent series have included:

  • Spring 2020: Conservation Challenges
  • Autumn 2019: Bold & Beautiful - new design for old buildings
  • Spring 2019: John Ruskin & his legacy
  • Spring 2018: Traditional & Treasured - heritage in Europe
  • Autumn 2017: Reach of hand, reach of soul - celebrating making
  • Spring 2017: Work worth doing - the SPAB & craft skills
