Wood tars and their application to historic buildings
Wood tar has been used for thousands of years as a timber preservative as well as a medicinal product. The lecture will look at the practical side of making and using wood tars, referencing experiences in Gotland and later in Norfolk with applications on windmills and earth buildings.
