Our SPAB Ireland Lecture Series 2023 focuses on sustainability and adaptive reuse of existing vacant buildings. This lecture will focus on the Circular Economy in the context of sustainability and adaptive reuse of historic buildings.
About the lecturer
Rachel Loughrey has 12 years of experience in the construction sector with a degree in architectural design, a master’s in architecture and a higher diploma in retrofitting, sustainability and conservation. She has a lot of experience working on a vast range of projects from large scale developments to one-off houses in several architecture and planning offices. She currently works in the Irish Green Building Council and she is working in the area of circularity in buildings. She also is working on a sustainable infill house as an architectural designer. Rachel is passionate about mitigating climate change and is a founder of a number of environmental groups such as ACAN Ireland, Ecohun and co-founder of Act Now Collective. She is on the steering committee for Architects Declare and has been the circularity leader for Friends of the Earth Dublin.

When completing the booking form, you will be asked to select the number of people and put in your own details on the first page, then to put in your second person's details on the next page. The event fee shown on each of these pages is for the individual person - you will be shown the total amount due once you get to the summary page.
