Snore Hall (also spelt Snowre) is a fine large brick house which dates from the Elizabethan period with Victorian additions. It is famous for being the hide out where Charles 1st held his final council of war before being handed over to Cromwell.
Despite its Grade II* listing it has suffered decades of neglect and deterioration and very little of the original interiors remain although the double priest hole survives. However, the current owners have spent the last few years carrying out major conservation and modernisation including a large extension and we are invited to view.
