SPAB Ireland Lecture Series 2023 - Lecture 2

Our SPAB Ireland Lecture Series 2023 focuses on sustainability and adaptive reuse of existing vacant buildings.  This lecture will focus on the Reuse of vacant historic buildings - Focusing on good new design to complement old buildings.

About the lecturer

Damien Curry is a Director of CANICE Architects based in Kilkenny City.

CANICE Architects are currently working on a range of cultural, hospitality and housing projects located in historically sensitive settings. The practice are interested in the relationship between historic building methods and contemporary construction techniques.

He is an examiner with the University of Westminster and sits on the ICOMOS Ireland National Scientific Committee on Energy and Sustainability.

Recently completed projects include Upper Bridge Street, a Protected Structure in the centre of Callan, Co. Kilkenny and Silversprings House a Protected Structure and Recorded Monument in Clonmel, Co. Tipperary.

Multiple bookings
As long as there is space on the event, we usually allow you to book for both yourself and a guest. When completing the booking form, you will be asked to select the number of people and put in your own details on the first page, then to put in your second person's details on the next page. The event fee shown on each of these pages is for the individual person - you will be shown the total amount due once you get to the summary page.
