Visit to Athelhampton House

Error Online registration is not currently available for this event (contact the site administrator for assistance).
Join SPAB Dorset for a visit to this Tudor manor house, with its Elizabethan-style gardens and 15th century Great Hall.

10.30 am on Friday 29th October.

Giles Keating, owner of Athelhampton House, has kindly agreed to host a visit for the SPAB Dorset Group where he will introduce us to the house and show us some of the work being carried out to the old kitchen, which has revealed interesting old features and original fabric.

His architect will be present to explain the work and conservation techniques used.

The tour will start at 10.30 and will include the Great Hall and the works to the Elizabethan kitchen.

The formal tour will conclude around noon and the group will have time to explore the house and gardens further.

The on-site cafe is open until 4pm and there will be an Elizabethan reenactment event happening on the same day, with costumed interpreters to explain more about the house and its history.

Numbers are limited. To book a space, please get in touch with Jessica Sutcliffe at dorset@spab.org.uk

The visit fee is £12 per person.
