Join the Kent and Surrey Group on a visit to Polesden Lacey, where you’ll learn how climate change is impacting historic buildings

The group will meet Joe Flatman, the National Trust environmental consultancy manager, who will explain how climate change is affecting the way they care for historic buildings. This will be an opportunity for those attending to learn more about potential problems and approaches to solving them.

We will also be accompanied by the general manager and lead building surveyor.

There will be time at the end of the visit to explore the grounds.

Today, Polesden Lacey is an attractive Edwardian house, the original medieval house having been entirely superseded. It was built in 1902-05 by Ambrose Poyner but remodelled in 1906-09 to become the home of Mrs Greville, a celebrated hostess of the interwar period. The house passed to the National Trust on her death in 1942. The gardens are also representative of the Edwardian period.

Please note: parking is £4 for non-NT members.
