Join the Kent and Surrey Group for a visit to a timber joinery workshop specialising in Accoya timber. We will see the production process and discuss the replacement of timber windows and doors in the context of SPAB philosophy, including questions of material authenticity and the decisions involved in retaining, repairing or replacing historic fabric. We will also explore the complex considerations surrounding single and double glazing, and the retention of historic glass.
The visit is of interest to specialists and historic property owners
You will need
Please wear sturdy and closed-toed shoes, hi-vis jacket. This is a factory environment so please dress accordingly. The hosts will supply tea, coffee and biscuits.

There is limited parking outside Unit 13 and more around the grounds of the Chislet Business Park, Hersden, Canterbury CT3 4BY (off Island Road A28)
