Price: £5, plus Kingston Lacy entry fee for non National Trust members.

Surveyor Helen Brown will show us round various buildings on the estate and kitchen gardens where she has supervised repairs, in the morning.

After that we can repair to The Vine pub in nearby Shapwick where Helen will show us one of her other jobs; a timber framed building in Shapwick.

10.00 am Park in the usual carpark and meet at Reception, Kingston Lacy BH21 4EA for a guided tour of Kingston Lacey House. 
11.20  Meet in front of house for walk to the Kitchen Garden for a talk by Helen on the Rebuilding of the Vinery and Conservation of the Kitchen  Garden

Walk back to the Car Park

12.30 pm Lunch at The Anchor Inn Shapwick DT11 9LB 01258 857269

13.30 pm Brief talk on Shapwick and the Conservation Repairs to 198 Shapwick (next to the pub)

 

Members wishing to spend more time at the House and Gardens, in the afternoon, under their own steam will be able to re-enter using the mornings tickets.

There will be a charge of £5 for the visit which will include the £2.50 tour fee.
