Event details

Saturday 29 October, 1pm – 4pm

The group will be split into two for a tour of both the ground floor and the roof of the Minster, taking in the carpenters marks, masons marks, discussing recent dendrodating of the timbers and repair projects. Tours will be led by John Philips, who has spent the last 20 years researching the Minster through masons marks and architectural comparisons, and with Simon Delaunay, Surveyor for the Minster, available to answer any questions.

Please note: access to the roof involves 113 steps up small winding staircases.

We will finish the day with a short walk through Beverley to end with a drink at The Monks Walk pub at around 3.30pm (drinks not included in ticket price!)

Places are £15 per person. If you are able, please consider making an additional £5 donation to the SPAB when you book to help support our work to protect old buildings.

Multiple bookings
As long as there is space on the event, we usually allow you to book for both yourself and a guest. When completing the booking form, you will be asked to select the number of people and put in your own details on the first page, then to put in your second person's details on the next page. The event fee shown on each of these pages is for the individual person - you will be shown the total amount due once you get to the summary page.
