Event details
This one-day course led by three expert tutors is ideal for anyone with basic knowledge of traditional British building limes who wants to explore their use in more detail. Through a combination of illustrated talks, demonstrations and hands-on sessions, it will provide a practical insight into traditional building limes and their uses, with a particular focus on scheduled monuments. building lime available and their different applications, with a particular focus on scheduled monuments. Participants will be working on the perimeter wall at Merdon Castle, which is undergoing repairs as part of a Historic England Repair Grants for Heritage at Risk funded programme of works.
The SPAB is an IHBC-recognised CPD provider and attendance certificates for CPD are available on request.

• Selecting and applying appropriate mortar mixes (with demonstrations)
