Visit to High Glanau Manor
SPAB Gloucestershire
£15 per person (includes cream tea)
Event details
Saturday 24 September, starting at 2.30 pm
Places will be £15 per person, which includes cream tea.
High Glanau Manor is an Arts & Crafts house, built in 1923 for Henry Avray Tipping, the Architectural Editor of Country Life magazine from 1907 until his death in 1933.
Like Wyndcliffe Court, which we'll visit in the morning, High Glanau Manor is the result of a collaboration between Tipping and architect Eric Francis. Set on a hillside above Monmouth, the house is surrounded by 12 acres of beautiful gardens, which are well worth a visit.
You can book the Wyndcliffe Court visit here.
About the Gloucestershire Regional Group
Lynne Pardoe, Group Organiser, says "It was ten years ago when I came to live in Gloucestershire and, surprised by the absence of a SPAB group, I started one. Since then its gone from strength to strength, with a steady core of regular attenders and an ever changing background of newer members. Since I don’t work in the field of conservation I rely on suggestions to arrange visits which don’t usually open for the public and thankfully, because I’ve been running it so long people know me and will make suggestions, or offer up their own properties for a visit. I love this."
Accessibility: please contact the Group Organiser before booking to discuss any special access requirements.
