We're delighted that we are able to hold Conservation Days at our Old House Project this summer, though with arrangements in place to help ensure the safety of our volunteers, specialists and staff.

Between 13-17 July there will be just 10 volunteers on site at St Andrews and neighbouring Boxley Abbey each day, and the programme of activities has been designed so that volunteers can work and learn at a safe distance.

We have also introduced a number of measures on site, including:

  • Everyone will wear a face covering or mask at all times, as well as usual building site PPE
  • Any shared hand tools will be cleaned and sterilised regularly
  • Extra washing stations
  • All participants will provide their own food and crockery
  • An appointed COVID-19 warden each day will check that all are following the arrangements and working safely

We take everyone’s safety very seriously. Read further details about our COVID-10 requirements or contact: working.party@spab.org.uk.
