There has been a watermill here on the River Evenlode since the Domesday Book and it was probably originally used for grain or flax milling. The mill became a sawmill and is located within Combe Yard that contained the workshops which served the vast Blenheim Estate. The mill is now powered by an 1852 beam engine.? From April we are open on Wednesdays until the end of September and on the first Sunday of each month until October (conducted tours available) 10.30am - 4.30pm, normal Opening Times (not in steam).
