Yorkshire

Launched in 2006 at the King’s Manor in York, the SPAB Yorkshire Regional Group is currently led by former Scholar, Lucy Newport. The Group is in the process of forming a new committee and will aim to organise events and visits for local members. Please get in touch if you'd like to be involved: spabyorkshire@gmail.com

From the Norman fortress to the modest vernacular farmhouse, each building we visit has a story to tell; in the words of William Morris “We are only the trustees for those who come after us”.

Seven years since our first visit we are already planning a return to Wentworth Woodhouse in 2017. Photo: Gisela Moritz.
