Fort Burgoyne
Chris Valdus, of the Land Trust, joined us for this look at Fort Burgoyne, a Victorian fort in Dover, Kent. Originally constructed to protect Dover Castle and the south coast from invasion, the fort fell into disrepair following the two World Wars. The Land Trust acquired the site in 2014 and have been working to stabilise the structure and reduce further decay, while they consider a sustainable future for the site. The local community has been involved with coming up with ideas.
