Conference description:

This is a pre-recorded session from the 2021 STBA SPAB Online Sustainability of Traditional Buildings Conference, held live on Zoom over two days in September 2021. Once you have access to the recordings, you can watch them  anytime before 4 March 2022 with the option to pause and resume the sessions at your leisure. The conference is CPD accredited and an attendance certificate will be issued via email.

The presentations in Day 1 focus on Retrofit Tools, and how to embrace the wider issues of Moisture, Embodied Carbon and Regeneration practices.

Having a good understanding of traditional (pre-c1919) buildings is an important prerequisite when undertaking work on them. This includes not only a sound knowledge of their construction and performance but also the risks associated with the use of different methods and materials, not least those affecting moisture movement. Day 2 explores some of the latest research and its implications for retrofitting older buildings, as well as providing an update on the development of relevant guidance and standard practice documentation.

When your booking has been made, you will be sent an email with joining instructions. If you do not receive an email within 10 minutes of completing payment, please check your 'junk' folder. If you do not receive joining instructions from us, please email education@spab.org.uk to notify us.
