Event details
Thursday 21 September, 2.30 - 3.30 pm
For this month's skillshare, we're joined by SPAB member Martyn Dowell. Martyn will be looking at how to properly and effectively draughtproof sliding sash windows, leaving them usable and avoiding damage to the historic fabric.
These sessions are only available to SPAB members, so you will need to log in to the website in order to register. Please get in touch if you don't have a log in set up yet.
The speaker
Martyn has had an interest in Archaeology and history all his adult life. He is a qualified teacher (lapsed), worked for some time in Archaeology, and completed a course in Electrical Fitting. He bought his first run-down house in 1973, and has done as much maintenance work as possible himself ever since, gaining a great interest and respect in old property. Latterly, he worked in maintaining a (nearly) listed building used by a private school. He is now lucky enough to own a large victorian house which gives him much pleasure in my retirement.
