Enjoy an exclusive guided tour of the last surviving post mill in Leicestershire with our knowledgeable volunteer guides.

Kibworth Harcourt Post Mill was in a sorry state but thankfully a generous grant enabled us to bring it back to its former glory in 2022. On your visit, you'll learn all about the fascinating history of the mill, see its newly-functioning historic machinery, and spot the mysterious ancient graffiti and apotropaic marks that daub its interior.

This Grade II* listed windmill and Scheduled Ancient Monument is only open to the public twice a year for National Mills Weekend in May and Heritage Open Days in September, so don't miss out!

Accessibility

There is no access for people with mobility issues to the site due to steep steps and historic features. No access for children under 8. Under-16s must be accompanied at all times. There are no toilets on site, but there are some at the Windmill Farm Park next door.

Tours take place hourly, last around 45 minutes, and are limited to six people due to the small size of the site.

Access

There is no wheelchair access to the site due to steep steps. Children must be accompanied at all times. There are no toilets on site, but there are some at the Windmill Farm Park next door.
