Best Loved Award Entry Form

The Best Loved Award recognises and celebrates old buildings getting the maintenance they deserve, and the people looking after them. For more information on eligibility and criteria, check the Award page. 

You won't be able to save a draft of this form, so it's best to write your statement elsewhere and then copy and paste it into this form once you're ready to submit.

Why should this building win the Best Loved Award? Please describe what makes this building special, including:  

  • Its role in the community 

  • Any special architectural features 

  • How the building is cared for and maintained 

Supporting evidence

Please share a link to 3-6 high-resolution images that show the building and how it meets the criteria. 

  • You can use Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive or similar. Images should be in a JPG or PNG format and a minimum of 300dpi. 
  • You must only submit images you have the photographer’s permission to use, and you must include a credit and description in the file name e.g. ‘Gutters © William Morris’. 

Please provide at least two of the following to demonstrate the regular maintenance that is undertaken at the building. 

  • Photos 

  • Maintenance Plan  

  • Summary of the annual maintenance routine 

As a reminder, we are looking for the care of key elements (roofs, walls, windows, doors, rainwater goods) and maintenance using materials and techniques appropriate to the building.
