Join the SPAB Sussex Group for a guided tour of a 1470s house.

St Mary’s is a much-loved historic house dating from around 1470, with a rich and varied history. Rescued from dereliction over forty years ago by Peter and Roger, the house has been carefully restored and lovingly lived in ever since. Following Peter’s death last year at the age of 98, the house and gardens continue to be cared for and shared with visitors by the St Mary's Historic House Trust.

We will be taken on a guided tour of this large and fascinating timber-framed house by one of the Trust’s knowledgeable guides, with opportunities to learn more about its conservation and ask questions throughout the visit. Participants will also have access to the gardens, and may choose to stay afterwards to enjoy refreshments in the tearoom.
