The Devil's in the Detail: Repair of Old Buildings Course Alumni Forum (June)
The Devil's in the Detail
Thursday 18 June 2026, 12.30 - 2pm (BST)
Online Forum (Zoom)
We like to invite you to our first online knowledge-sharing forum exclusively for SPAB members who recently completed the Repair of Old Buildings Course.
This new initiative comes in response to requests from participants for ways to keep in touch with one another following the intensive course.
The forum will be an opportunity to discuss the challenges of a specific project you've been working on since the course and how the decisions you have made have been influenced by what you've learned and your introduction to the SPAB Approach.
It's also a chance to discuss with others how they would approach specific challenges you are encountering and what considerations they would prioritise.
As a peer-to-peer forum there will not be a presentation or lecture. It will offer those with a professional interest in heritage conservation a chance to discuss issues with one another and to share knowledge and experience.
The forum will be moderated by a member of our Engagement Team and one of SPAB's technical experts, Mary Henn, will be on hand to direct participants to appropriate resources.
With spaces limited to 25 for this first forum, we recommend you book today and help us pilot this new SPAB member-only online community. A letter of attendance, for your CPD records, will be available on request. A recording of the Forum will not be available.
IT requirements
You will need a laptop, phone or other device connected to the internet. The online forum will be run as a Zoom meeting.
