London Group Handel Hendrix House Talk and Tour

Join us at the homes of the great composer G.F. Handel and rock legend Jimi Hendrix in Brook Street London. Project Architect Helena Tunbridge and Handel Hendrix House Director Simon Daniels will show and explain the museum’s award-winning restoration project.

Thursday 5 March 6.30-8pm

Numbers 25 and 23 Brook Street, home respectively to the great composer G.F. Handel and rock legend Jimi Hendrix, re-opened as Handel Hendrix House in May 2023 following an 18-month restoration project. The façade of Handel’s house was partially rebuilt, and the homes of these great musicians evocatively re-created. Handsome 18th-century rooms are filled with furniture and art representative of that which Handel owned and, in contrast, Hendrix’s 1960s bedroom is meticulously re-made, right down to the ash trays. Home to regular concerts and live performances, the spirit of both musicians feels very much alive in the museum. The project was Highly Commended at the Georgian Group Awards and won the RIBA London Conservation Prize 2025.

Join Project Architect Helena Tunbridge of Peregrine Bryant Architects and Handel Hendrix House Director Simon Daniels to hear about the project and explore the museum.
