Wales and Marches visit to Wilderhope Manor

Sunday 1 February 2026 11am

Join the Wales and Marches group for a guided tour of Wilderhope Manor. This Grade I listed Elizabethan manor with important links to the English Civil War. On arrival, tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided before the guided tour begins at 11am. The visit will explore the history, architecture and conservation of this remarkable building, with opportunities to ask questions throughout. A £5 donation from each ticket will go directly to SPAB to support its work.

The tour will conclude at approximately 1pm. After the visit, members and guests are invited to continue the day with lunch at The Crown in Munslow, where a Sunday roast and a non-meat option are expected to be available (menu and prices to be confirmed).

This event offers a relaxed and informative opportunity to meet fellow members, enjoy a unique historic site, and learn more about the care of traditional buildings in a beautiful rural setting.
 

You will need

Please wear warm, comfortable layers and sturdy and closed-toed shoes. We recommend bringing a raincoat or umbrella as part of it will be outdoors.

Parking is limited but free on site.

Accessibility

This is a historic building with uneven floors and limited step-free access. Some walking and stairs required.
