Trustees & Guardians

The Guardians' Committee is responsible for upholding the ethos and traditions of the SPAB. The committee meets ten times a year and plays a leading role in our listed building casework and historic building policy discussions. SPAB trustees oversee the everyday running of the Society. They provide guidance and leadership on all governance matters. The trustee board made up of 12 members, eight of whom are elected from the Guardians' Committee.

Guardians are elected from the membership each year. SPAB members are invited to put themselves forward for the Guardians' Committee, with candidacy papers included in the spring issue of The SPAB Magazine. If you are interested in standing as a Guardian, or indeed helping the SPAB in another capacity, please get in touch.
