Volunteer at the Old House Show
We need your help to make our first show a success. We are looking for committed and enthusiastic volunteers to work at the Old House Show on Friday 7 – Saturday 8 September to help SPAB staff run the different sections of the show, such as the demonstration area, the advice clinic and the lecture space.
We are also looking for a volunteer to work alongside the Old House Show organiser in the run up to the event on 7-8 September. You must be able to commit 2-4 days a month from July to September, including the show dates. The position is based at the SPAB HQ in Spitalfields, London.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain significant experience working on a large-scale event and meet people who are passionate about conservation. Our volunteer will be preparing materials for the show and act as lead volunteer over the two days. We are looking for a competent administrator, proficient in Microsoft Office, with excellent communications skills. For more information or to apply please contact Pippa Evans at the SPAB.
The SPAB does not have an internship programme. However, from time to time we are able to offer short work-experience opportunities for young people (usually school or university students in vacation time), giving an introduction to the variety of tasks the SPAB undertakes and a taster of working within a building conservation charity.
