Dorset Group Visit to Pugin Hall
Friday 11th August, 2.30 - 4.30pm
Designed by A.W.N. Pugin in 1847 considered to be the most complete example of domestic architecture by him.

Originally built for the rector of Rampisham the house is now in private ownership. The Grade 1 listing says that "The survival of such an unaltered house by Pugin is very rare and there is clearly no doubt about its exceptional importance". Our visit is kindly being facilitated by the owner Mrs Alison Wright, the SW Regional Chairman and Dorset County Organiser of the National Garden Scheme who will show us round. She will talk about the house, its design features and aboout the gardens.
The house is near the centre of the village, there will be yellow signs on the front drive. Parking available of the front and back drive. Cost: £10 Tea and cake will be provided. Photo credit Alison Wright
