National Mills Weekend is the annual festival of the UK's milling heritage, co-ordinated by the Mills Section. It offers everyone the chance to visit windmills and watermills that are not normally open to the public and to take part in special events.
A full list of mills taking part in National Mills Weekend can be found on our dedicated website. The site will be updated on an ongoing basis in the run-up to the weekend.
To register to take part in National Mills Weekend, all you need to do is to go over to the National Mills Weekend website, check if your mill is listed and if the information is correct, and follow the instructions to contact the webmaster with any amendments or additions.
You can take part for any length of time on either or both days, and only need to open your doors and welcome visitors. However, you may also consider organising family activities, or perhaps running a joint event with other mills in your area. If you do plan to run activities, you might consider linking them to the Real Bread Campaign's 'Real Bread Week'.
For more information, visit the National Mills Weekend website.
To make sure that you receive the latest information, please email us with the name of your mill and your contact details, and we'll add you to our mailing list.
