We firmly believe that the use of traditional millwrights is important for the proper repair and maintenance of the historic machinery and fabric of windmills and water mills. Their specialist knowledge can help with the selection of the most appropriate materials and methods to ensure the best outcome for a mill in need of attention.
All the millwrights listed below are members of the Mills Section and abide by the principles of our Philosophy of Repair of Windmills and Watermills. On the basis of feedback we’ve received, we believe they offer a satisfactory standard of workmanship and professionalism as millwrights. Note that many of them are happy to travel beyond their immediate area.
