White Mill, Dorset


An 18th century lowland 3-storey corn mill rebuilt in 1776 on an earlier site mentioned in Domesday. Restored in 1994 by the National Trust after years of dereliction. Double undershot wheel. Much of the original elm and apple wood machinery remains.

National Mills Weekend opening times:

Saturday & Sunday, 12.00-17.00.  We have a 1895 'Peerless' 6 horsepower steam traction engine  stationed at White Mill. for the weekend. Also Mills on the Air radio station. Tarts au Citroen. refreshments.
