A 5-storey working watermill on an island in the River Ouse, dating from the 1600s and containing 19th century milling machinery and a restored waterwheel. The last working watermill on the Ouse. Now again milling wholemeal flour. Owned by the National Trust.

Three miles SE of Huntingdon, in the village of Houghton, signposted off A1123 Huntingdon to St Ives road. Mill is at the end of Mill Street.

Opening Times:

Houghton Mill is open from mid-March through to the end of October.

The interior of the mill is open by pre-booked visit only. Our guided tours are volunteer led on Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, please check availability and book on the Houghton Mill website. Our milling day is in on Sunday, from 11:15am-4pm.
