About the lecture:

A building of international significance, founded in 1446 by Sir William Sinclair, Rosslyn Chapel needed urgent conservation works to ensure the continued survival of the structure. From 2009 to 13, Nic Boyes led a team of 20 people to design and deliver a programme of conservation works to the exterior and interior of the building. Under his direction the team recorded individual items of defect, damage and decay; designed remedial treatments; and project managed implementation of remedial treatments. Nic Boyes will lead the us through the 4 year conservation project of Rosslyn Chapel which he led and share what he learnt on the way.
