The SPAB Somerset group are excited that Nick Durnan has agreed to give his talk on conserving Purbeck marble.

Nick has over 35 years experience working on the conservation and repair of stonework on cathedrals, churches and historic buildings and has been involved in both the major repair and conservation programmes of the West Fronts of Wells, Exeter, Salisbury and Peterborough Cathedrals.

 

Multiple bookings
As long as there is space on the event, we usually allow you to book for both yourself and a guest. When completing the booking form, you will be asked to select the number of people and put in your own details on the first page, then to put in your second person's details on the next page. The event fee shown on each of these pages is for the individual person - you will be shown the total amount due once you get to the summary page.

About the Somerset Regional Group
The Somerset Regional Group is run by Eve and Meriel who are conservation professionals working in the field and so the visits are organised on an ad hoc basis when we have a project on site worthy of a visit. We welcome everyone from the South West and are always keen to hear of interesting places to go and see. We love architectural history, traditional building materials, building repair techniques, conservation philosophy, craft skills visits and everything in between.
