London Group Talk – Lost Interiors of London

Registration is closed for this event

Tuesday 5 November
6.30 - 9pm

Join the London Group on Tuesday 5 November at 6.30pm, for an exclusive book launch and talk about the lost historic interiors of London.

We are excited to welcome leading historian and conservationist Steven Brindle to give us this exclusive talk in celebration of his latest book.

As we will discover, interiors tell us so much about both everyday lives and the extravagances of London’s high society. In his illustrated talk, Steven Brindle highlights some of the stunning photographs from the archives of Historic England commissioned by the proud creators of the lavish Victorian drawing rooms and libraries, as well as the fashionable Arts & Crafts and Art Deco apartments – and even Oriental-style interiors meticulously created by those recently returned from India, when it was still under British rule.

We hope you will be able to join us for what promises to be a feast for the eyes!

Hatchards have generously offered a reduction for SPAB members on the night on everything in the shop, including the London Interiors book. You will need to show your ticket digitally or on paper to staff at the till.
