\n \n \n \nSPAB Ireland is delight ed to announce a two day Masterclass: An introduct ion to Stucco Duro and Scagliola\, with Certified Master Plasterers of the city of London: Dolcie Ro ss Keogh and Kevin Holbrook.
\n \nDolcie’s journey in plasterwork began at the age of 15 when she became an apprentice under Master Plasterer K evin Holbrook. During her apprenticeship\, she tra ined extensively in plain and decorative plasterwo rk\, scagliola\, and gilding. In the years that fo llowed\, she honed her craft while working with Li ving with the Past\, applying her skills to a dive rse range of heritage and contemporary buildings a cross Ireland and Europe. She became the first fem ale to be honoured by the Worshipful Company of Pl aisterers\, a prestigious award that marked her 20 -year contribution to the intricate craft of plast ering.
\n \nThis course is aimed at professionals who w ish to expand their knowledge practically and acad emically on the craft of stucco duro (freehand pla sterwork) and scagliola in both restoration\, cons ervation and new works. This can be from designers and architects to practical craftspeople.
\n \ nLunch will be provided on both days.
