SUMMARY:Essex & Suffolk Group visit to Little Baddow

  normally open to the public\, and the grade one l

 e will meet in the Little Baddow History Centre wh
 ere we will be given a talk by Mel Thompson\, a lo
 cal historian\, about the village of Little Baddow
 .</p>\n \n <p>We will then split into three groups
  and ask you to make your own way between the thre
 e morning venues. These are Little Baddow Hall\, C
 uckoos and the Church of St Mary the Virgin. </p>\
 n \n <p>We will return to the History Centre at ar
 ound 12:30 for lunch (bring your own packed lunch)
  where there will be more time to look around the 
 History Centre and the co located United Reform Ch
 urch chapel.</p>\n \n <p>After lunch we will drive
  approximately 10 minutes to the afternoon’s easte
 rn group of three houses comprising Pilgrims\, Col
 eraines and Poleighs where again we will split int
 o three groups.</p>\n \n <p>You will be shown arou
 nd the houses by their owners and the church by so
 meone from the local history society\, they will b
 e pleased to answer any of your questions</p>\n \n

  The History Centre only has very limited parking\
 , but the church has ample parking and is only a 4

 e park in the church carpark which is in a field o

 ommended to walk along the foot path rather than w
 alking around the narrow road which has a blind be
 nd</p>\n \n <h3>Accessibility</h3>\n \n <p>Walking
  is the only practicable option getting between th
 e houses\, none of which have parking. The roads a
 re typical narrow Essex country lanes\, often with
 out pavements. Beware of cars and cycling groups.<
