\n \n \n \nSPAB Ireland is delighted to announce a two day Masterclass: An introductio n to Stucco Duro and Scagliola\, with Certified Ma ster Plasterers of the city of London: Dolcie Ross Keogh and Kevin Holbrook.
\n \nDolcie’s jo urney in plasterwork began at the age of 15 when s he became an apprentice under Master Plasterer Kev in Holbrook. During her apprenticeship\, she train ed extensively in plain and decorative plasterwork \, scagliola\, and gilding. In the years that foll owed\, she honed her craft while working with Livi ng with the Past\, applying her skills to a divers e range of heritage and contemporary buildings acr oss Ireland and Europe. She became the first femal e to be honoured by the Worshipful Company of Plai sterers\, a prestigious award that marked her 20-y ear contribution to the intricate craft of plaster ing.
\n \nThis course is aimed at professionals who wis h to expand their knowledge practically and academ ically on the craft of stucco duro (freehand plast erwork) and scagliola in both restoration\, conser vation and new works. This can be from designers a nd architects to practical craftspeople.
\n \nLunch will be provided on both days.
