The course also incl udes a walking / observation activity in the local area to look at different building types and iden tify potential maintenance issues.
\n \nThe course is presented on behalf o f the SPAB by James Innerdale and Libby Watts. James is an accredi ted architect\, historic buildings consultant and SPAB Technical Adviser. Libby is a RIBA Specialist Conservation Architect\, director of Liberty Rose Architects and SPAB Education and Training Guardi an. On behalf of the Jersey Building Preservation Trust\, Antony Gibb is an histori c buildings consultant with a background in archae ology\, design\, construction and planning. Antony is the founder and a Trustee of the Jersey Buildi ng Preservation Trust\, which provides building co nservation skills training in Jersey.
\n \nThe SPAB is an IHBC-r ecognised CPD provider and attendance certificates for CPD are available on request.
\n \nThis is a lecture-based course but includes a 70 minute walking / observat ion activity in the local area\, which will requir e periods of standing. Public paths may be uneven and narrow during the observation activity.
\n \nStep-free access to the venue if from the W eighbridge corridor entrance via a lift to Member’ s Room.
\n \nThere is an accessible toile t on the third floor of the building (accessible b y lift).
\n \nAn audio loop is available.\n \n
Parking is available nearby at Pier Roa d multi-storey carpark.
