Queen Mother's Medal

Queen Mother's Medal

The Queen Mother’s Medal was an initiative of craftsman David Linford and SPAB supporter Lord Cormack to celebrate an individual lifetime contribution to sustaining, continuing and transmitting traditional skills to new generations of craftspeople, to ensure that these vital skills continue to be practised in the conservation and repair of historic buildings.

Only four medals were struck.  They have been awarded to individuals who, in the view of the SPAB, have made an exceptional contribution to excellence and training in traditional crafts and building skills.
