Earlier in 2017, The SPAB launched our NEW series of short
introductory sessions, specially designed to give you a way to easily meet your
CPD requirements and improve your understanding of building conservation during
your lunch break.
Held at our historic offices in central London, a short walk from Liverpool St Station, these are a great opportunity to meet likeminded professionals and discuss issues informing the care of historic buildings. Lunch is included in the ticket price.
Due to popular demand, we are offering a second session on 'Dealing with Damp in Old Buildings'.
DATE and TIME: 25 May 2017, 12.00-13.30
VENUE: The SPAB, 37 Spital Sq, London, E1 6DY
TARGET AUDIENCE: managers and staff of period properties; building conservation professionals; construction professionals; students; home owners; general interest; introductory.

ABOUT THE COURSE:
Damp is the enemy of old buildings and one of the most frequent issues that the SPAB is asked for advice on. In this session, the SPAB’s Technical and Research Director, Douglas Kent, explains the different forms of damp, what causes them, how they can be identified and the best ways to treat and prevent damp in old buildings.
